Last updated: April 2026. This page describes how Koverts handles information when you use the website and the official Chrome extensions.
Chrome extension
The official Koverts Chrome extensions include a unit converter, a currency converter, and AI tools. None of them require a Koverts account. The unit converter and AI tools run calculations in your browser (including approximate token estimates); your pasted text is not uploaded to Koverts. The currency extension fetches published exchange rates from the public HTTPS endpoints listed in its manifest when you open or refresh the popup and may cache them locally. If Chrome sync is enabled, each extension may use chrome.storage.sync for your interface language and last-used choices (such as units per category, currency pair, or model family); we do not receive this data on our servers. These extensions do not embed third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

The public website may store language or UI preferences in your browser (for example via local storage) so pages load in your chosen language. We do not sell your personal information. For questions, contact us at the email below.
Search engines and automated access
Koverts publishes a public robots.txt that allows crawlers from major search engines and many AI / answer services to fetch pages for indexing and retrieval, as described there. Public pages are free tools; we do not use them to collect personal data. If you do not want your browser to load our site, simply do not visit.
